2. Platform Use

Eligibility

To use AnnaJyoti, you must:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Not share your account with others

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Post false or misleading donation information
• Donate spoiled, contaminated, or unsafe food
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Use the platform for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform
• Interfere with the platform's operation
• Scrape, data mine, or extract platform data without permission

3. Donations

Food Donations

As a donor, you agree that:

• All food donated is fresh, hygienic, and safe for consumption
• You will accurately describe the food items, quantity, and expiry
• You will make the donation available at the specified pickup time
• You understand that AnnaJyoti is not liable for food quality after pickup

Item Donations

For non-food donations, you agree that:

• Items are in usable condition as described
• You have the right to donate the items
• Items do not include hazardous, illegal, or prohibited materials

NGO Responsibilities

As an NGO, you agree to:

• Only claim donations you can genuinely distribute
• Ensure proper handling and distribution of donations
• Maintain accurate records of received donations
• Update donation status promptly (received, distributed)

Volunteer Responsibilities

As a volunteer, you agree to:

• Handle donations with care and maintain food safety
• Deliver donations to the designated NGO promptly
• Update pickup status in real-time
• Maintain appropriate behavior with donors and NGOs

4. NGO Verification

AnnaJyoti verifies NGOs through document review. However:

• Verification does not constitute endorsement of NGO activities
• We are not responsible for NGO actions beyond the platform
• NGO verification can be revoked for policy violations

5. Limitation of Liability

AnnaJyoti is a platform connecting donors, NGOs, and volunteers. We are not liable for:

• The quality, safety, or condition of donated items
• Actions or omissions of users (donors, NGOs, volunteers)
• Any incidents occurring during pickup or delivery
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

6. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for:

• Violation of these Terms of Service
• Fraudulent or harmful activity
• Extended inactivity (12+ months)
• At our discretion for platform safety

Users may delete their accounts at any time through dashboard settings or by contacting support.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, logos, designs, and software on AnnaJyoti are our property or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute platform content without permission.

User-generated content (stories, comments) remains the property of the user, but you grant us a license to display it on the platform.

8. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through:

• First: Good-faith negotiation between parties
• Second: Mediation in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
• Finally: Courts of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India
